Hi! My name is Alex and I'm the owner and head trainer here at CrossFit Alacrity. I was involved in just about every sport possible when I was younger, but didn't continue with any sports in college. I still needed a competitive outlet though, and so I took up weight training. This soon evolved into a degree in Exercise and Movement science and a personal training career. After a herniated disc forced me to reevaluate my training, I found CrossFit. The emphasis on proper technique as well as constantly varied training (I get bored easily!) soon had me hooked as a way to keep training hard despite my injury. I quickly recognized it as a more complete method of training that is able to address everything the average person is missing in the gym! The physical fitness gained from CrossFit is only the beginning of the benefit. The community, mental strength, and improved well-being are really what makes it special, and I can't wait to share it with you!
